About us

The Randolph Surgery is an NHS GP Practice in Maida Vale. Our services are provided to registered patients by our dedicated team of general practitioners, nurses, managers and administrative staff.

We are an expanding family practice serving the residents of Maida Vale. Due to the changing demographics of the area, our population has become weighted more towards young families with children. We enjoy serving a population that has a varied ethnic and religious mix.

Our practice manager is Naomi Hefford. We number 4 doctors, 1 nurse, and 2 health care assistants, and are supported by a team of admin staff. Additional team members include a private osteopath, district and Macmillan nurses, as well as health visitors, psychologists and a psychodynamic counsellor who all work closely with us.

We are based in delightful, purpose-designed premises in a Victorian house. Space is at a premium and ours is utilised to capacity.

We operate an innovative telephone triage service allowing patients direct access to a GP every day of the working week circumventing the need for an appointment in many cases.

The Randolph Surgery’s contract with NHS England is held by a Partnership of three GPs. The GP Partners have ultimate responsibility for managing the practice and have chosen to receive back office support from Virgin Care, a healthcare company experienced in NHS GP and community services. Virgin Care provides a range of back office functions that enable the clinical team to spend more of their time treating patients and less time on the administrative duties that all NHS GP practices face. We believe that this is a very positive step for our patients and the idea behind this change was welcomed by our patient participation group who represent our registered list and who understand the pressures all GPs experience across the country to deliver great services.
