The Surgery offers an appointment system with 10 minute appointment slots for doctors and 15 minute appointment slots for nurses.
Appointments are available from Monday – Friday 8.00am – 6.30pm. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays the surgery operates an extended hours service with GP appointments available between 6.30pm – 8.00pm available by pre-booked appointment only (the surgery cannot be accessed for routine/emergency care after 6.30pm for patients without an appointment on these days).
Appointments can be made by booking through online access, telephoning during opening hours on 0207 266 2621, and where necessary booking in person with a member of the reception team. Note we do not offer a walk-in service and all on the day or emergency care should be accessed via telephone in the first instance (see below).
Routine appointments can be booked up to 8 weeks in advance, depending upon availability. Access will vary dependent upon patient demand.
There are a limited number of same day appointments. To arrange a same-day appointment, please call the surgery at 08:00. We understand that the lines can be busy and demand is often high for this service.
Patients with urgent clinical needs that require emergency care can be accessed through the duty doctor. If you feel you require emergency care the reception staff will ask for a brief description of your needs and request the duty doctor to contact you by phone. The duty doctor will determine the action required – this may include telephone advice, a face-to-face emergency appointment, or instructions to access care elsewhere within the NHS.
We would ask that wherever possible you contact reception to access the duty doctor for emergencies at the following times:
|Duty Doctor Telephone Emergency and Advice Service: Call at the listed times and the Duty Doctor will usually call you back within 2 hours|
|Mon||8am – 9.15am||2pm – 3.15pm|
|Tue||8am – 9.15am||2pm – 3.15pm|
|Wed||8am – 9.15am||2pm – 3.15pm|
|Thu||8am – 9.15am||2pm – 3.15pm|
|Fri||8am – 9.15am||2pm – 3.15pm|
If you are unable to keep an appointment
Please inform us as soon as possible to allow us to use your appointment for the care of other patients. Our service is in high demand and every appointment counts.
The Surgery’s policy is to remove patients who repeatedly fail to attend appointments or fail to cancel in good time.
If you are more than ten minutes late for an appointment, while we will do our best to accommodate you, you may be asked to re-book.
We understand that often patients are unable to book routine care due to limited access and high demand. Three local GP practices offer a hub service whereby our patients can be booked to see a doctor with full access to their medical records to allow for such periods of high demand. If you are unable to book an appointment, and your need is not considered an emergency, the reception staff will offer a hub appointment if available. Hub appointments are only available between Monday – Friday 6.30pm – 8.00pm and variable hours on the weekends.
The GP practice currently offering hub services include:
The Connaught Square Practice, 41 Connaught Square, London W2 2HL
The Westbourne Green Surgery, 260 Harrow Rd, London W2 5ES
Pimlico Health @ The Marven, 46-50 Lupus St, Pimlico, London SW1V 3EB
