Prescription requests should be received in writing either in person at reception or ideally through online access. We aim to process prescription requests within 48 hours (2 working days).
Urgent medication requests will be considered on a case by case basis only.
If you take medication on a long-term basis, you can order a repeat prescription by collecting a form from reception and returning it to us, either:
In person to the reception desk
By post (see address on the ‘Contact us‘ page)
Please note that we do not accept telephone requests for repeat medication. It is your responsibility to ensure requests are made with adequate time in writing.
We will conduct a review of your medication at regular intervals. This may require you to attend an appointment with a doctor before a repeat prescription can be issued. In such instances we will ensure that there is continuity in the care that you receive.
If you are on your last issue of a repeat medication the reception team will not be able to process your request and the GP would expect a routine pre-booked appointment for a medication review.
We do not have a pharmacy on-site. Local pharmacies can be identified through NHS choices.
